Storm!

After a blisteringly hot day again yesterday, we spent last night under a barrage of heavy rain. And it won't stop. We are in quite an exposed setting it seems. The sky attacks from above and below, some spiteful clouds lurking in the valley, then swooping up to join their colleagues on gale force winds to batter and drench our camp.

This time, we couldn't save the kitchen gazebo/mess tent- it's too warped and broken, but as the sign says, 'Live Well, Love Much, Laugh Often'. We'll have to bring the fridge into the awning; the cooker should be all right out there... The 'coffin' is water-logged, so we'll need to make space for that too if I'm ever to turn it into a respectable version of itself...

Look! Kevin has fashioned a prop, using his Crocs, to stop water pooling on the tent join.*

Polly seems to be able to weather the storm...

* Well, at least it stops him from wearing them. A predictable 'hit', but, I find it amusing to have the word 'fashion(ed)' and 'Crocs' in the same sentence. Shhh, don't tell Kevin. I do actually have a pair of 'Croc-flops' that I love, so who am I to scoff?
