The Ugly, the Bad and the Good
Dechetterie find! Garde de Corps for our bedroom window. Free, but ugly! (But it'll clean up well!)
I don't know what's got in to me, but every time I visit the water trough to turn the hose tap on, these ivy clad leaners turn into shrunken, dreadlocked voodoo heads. They make me feel edgy, and always insist that I look up at them. Bad.
Out of a thousand pears on an army of pear trees, this is the one that doesn't have a wasp in it. Good... but not for long.

ReplyDeleteThank you for that. Our wasps appear to be more rampant than this article suggests, however. They actually fill each fruit in a feeding frenzy. They also did a similar raid on one of my bananas in the fruit bowl. I picked it up, and they had hollowed out one end. About twelve flew out at me, cross with ME! And it was MY banana they'd half inched! Pffff!
ReplyDeleteBut, I could improve my fruit/wasp management by clearing up the fallen fruit... If they let me near enough!
